A number of residential developments in Comber including a total of 616 housing units, eight apartments and more have been granted.
Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd issued Notices of Opinion to approve a number of planning applications.
Located at a site south of the Copelands link roundabout, the five reserved matter applications include housing, a nursing home, business and retail units, open spaces including linear walkway and saltmarsh creation, access roads, pumping station, car parking and other site works.
Speaking as he approved the applications, Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd said: "I have given careful consideration to these applications and following several amendments I am satisfied that the detailed layout and design accords with Departmental policy and guidance and approval can subsequently be granted.
"The additional residential units, associated public spaces and business and retail units will complement my Department's previous decisions to grant approval for 168 residential units and a play area at this location and the construction of new homes will help stimulate economic growth and deliver community benefits for the Comber area."
