Work has got underway on key LED street lighting upgrades in the County Tyrone village of Carrickmore.
The Department for Infrastructure is investing £150,000 on the Main Street scheme. It will involve the replacement of the existing lights throughout the centre of the village from the Mullanmore Road junction to the Hazelhill Road Junction with 38 new LED street lights.
All work involving lane restrictions will be carried out during off-peak times Monday to Friday between 9.30 am to 4pm. Road users should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
In order to help ensure the safety of road users and road workers, the public is asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions and to take extra care when travelling in the vicinity of the works.
Subject to weather conditions, the scheme is expected to be substantially completed by 31 March 2023.
