Members of the public have been invited to shape the future development plans of the Steeple Park/Parkland in County Antrim.
This consultation will help to outline the nature of this heritage site as well as celebrate the park's historic importance and ensure the practical needs of the community are heard and met.
The consultation will be hosted by Andrew Haley, a Heritage Landscape specialist with The Paul Hogarth Company, who has worked on a number of iconic environmental projects across Ireland.
Call into Antrim Civic Centre during any of the following times:
• Wednesday 29 March 2023: 3pm - 4.30pm or 7pm - 8.30pm
• Thursday 30 March 2023: 10am - 12pm, 2pm - 4pm or 7pm - 8.30pm.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman Stephen Ross said: "The involvement of local people will be critical for the future success of this new development and through attending this consultation you will help to better understand how the Park can be developed."
Key issues that will be discussed at the event will include:
• Encouraging more people to engage with the heritage of the area
• Making the local area a better place to live and visit
• Heritage will be identified and better explained
• Where possible, ensure that proposals assist in meeting the challenges to the environment and the climate crisis, e.g. biodiversity protection and enhancement.
