Water network upgrades in Tralee, Co Kerry, are continuing to move forward.
Led by Uisce Éireann and Kerry County Council, the works in Ash Hill may cause disruption to supply for homes and businesses in surrounding areas from 7pm Wednesday 05 April to 1am on Thursday 06 April.
Areas impacted include: Ash Hill, Dooninlaghbeg, Coolnadead, Arabela, Ballydwyer West, Ballydwyer East, Maglass West, Maglass East, Coolgarriv, Crag, Knockeen, Ballyegan, Rockfield, Clogherclemin, Ballynahinch, Tonreigh Lower, Parkearagh, Rathany, Shanaknock, Tullygarran, Ballinorig West, Killeens, Clashatlea and surrounding areas.
During these essential works, homes and businesses in the above areas may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages. Following the completion of improvement works; water supply may take two to three hours to return as water refills the network. Work crews will endeavour to complete works ahead of time in order to expedite the return of supply to the affected areas.
To complete the works in a safe and efficient manner, a road closure is required along the L2022 road from Moriarty's Cross, Ballyfinane North to Ash Hill (Via Lisnataggle and Mount Nicholas). The road closure will be in place from 7pm Wednesday 05 April until 7am on Thursday 06 April.
