Plans for an embankment stabilisation scheme have been announced along Antrim's coast.
Work will take place in the coastal County Antrim village of Cushendun, starting on Monday 08 May.
The scheme on Torr Road will include engineering works to stabilise the embankment adjacent to the road which is necessary to ensure the structural integrity of the road at this location.
To carry out the works it will be necessary to close Torr Road between its junction with Castle Park, Cushendun and Farrenmacallen Road to both road traffic and pedestrians. The road closure will be in place from Monday 08 May 2023 to Friday 16 June 2023.
Local access will be maintained to all properties as far as the hard closure however it is inevitable that these arrangements will cause some inconvenience. Every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.
Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to follow the diversions which will be clearly signed on the approaches to the works.
