Chadwicks Group Expands Branch Network

Ireland's leading builders' merchants Chadwicks Group has reopened a former branch to help meet growing demand in Dublin city centre.

The new, bigger branch on East Wall Road, Dublin 3, will cater for the growing construction work within Dublin's Docklands and Ringsend area.

The opening of the East Wall branch sees the creation of seven new jobs and customers can expect the expertise, knowledge and customer service they have come to know and love from Chadwicks. The branch has been refurbished and designed with the customer in mind, providing builders, engineers, specialist tradespeople, and DIYers with all the tools and materials they need to get the job done in one convenient location.

This announcement forms part of a wider branch network expansion which will see Chadwicks Group open four new style branches by the end of 2024. These smaller branches will be based in construction 'hot spots' to meet high level demand for materials and products in those areas. While these branches will have a smaller retail footprint due to their locations, the entire Chadwicks product range will be available to order for next day collection or delivery, thereby reducing the need for multiple trucks and vans to travel longer distances to source materials.

Commenting on the opening, Patrick Atkinson, CEO Chadwicks Group said: "Today's opening is an important milestone in our ongoing investment in our branch network. We are seeing strong demand for construction materials across Ireland and are expanding our branch footprint to meet this need. Our ambition is to open four new branches in areas where there is high construction activity by the end of 2024. East Wall Road is the first of these openings in this new concept branch. As construction work ramps up in Dublin city centre, the branch has been designed to save our customers time and to get the materials and products they need in a convenient and more sustainable way. As well as stocking a significant range of products in the branch, our larger product range will also be available for next day collection or delivery."
