Public Invited To Inform Future Of Dublin Parks

Locals have been called on to comment on the parks and services across Dublin city.

The consultation from Dublin City Council will give the public the opportunity to shape the future development of these services. Several questions are being posed, including how often you visit your local park, what do you do there and whether you have any recommendations as to how the experience could be improved.

Leslie Moore the Head of Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services said: "More than ever I think people appreciate the value of their local park as well as having destination parks to visit in reasonable proximity to where they live. The physical and mental well-being of individuals and communities benefits from being close to nature and from having easily available opportunities to walk or participate in more active recreational pursuits in a pleasant environment. To inform our long term planning we need the feedback, views, thoughts and reflections of those who use public parks as well as those who don't! We want our parks to be places where people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities can find space for their needs."
