Actavo Wins Place On National Grid Framework

Actavo is to continue its working relationship with the UK's National Grid via a new framework.

The company's Protective and Decorative Coating (PDC) division secured a spot on the framework which covers asset painting across the transmission network and substations within the UK.

Under the framework, approximately 120 PDC employees will carry out work under the agreement, with 60 of them specialising in painting the National Grid towers.

Actavo has conducted services for the National Grid for 30 years and has never experienced a Lost Time Incident while completing over three-million-man hours working on its behalf. The company estimates that it has carried out PDC services on 15,000 towers and substations since it commenced work with the National Grid, ensuring that these assets are painted safely to specification, on time and to budget, thus extending the asset life of critical UK power infrastructure.

Jim Salkeld, Managing Director, Actavo Industrial UK said: "Actavo PDC is extremely proud to continue to work with the UK National Grid, and to count itself as one of the few companies that has the resources and knowledge to carry out this specialised work on some of the UK's most important national infrastructure assets.

"As a company we pride ourselves on delivering a best-in-class service, on time, on budget and most importantly, with health and safety as the foremost consideration. I believe we have the best PDC team in the industry, and this has been proven by our exemplary track record over the years."
