A deal has been reached for the development of a bridge in the North West Greenway Network.

FP McCann will serve as the Main Contractor for Route 2 Bay Road, which will see a single clear span bridge designed and built. The circa 63m-long structure will have an effective pedestrian / cycle width of 3m.

The works also include the design and build of abutments, retention structures and access ramps which will link the existing Quay Trail to the proposed greenway running along Bay Road.

The project also includes approximately 650m of 3m wide shared pedestrian and cyclist Greenway Path which will be constructed along side Bay Road and the Banks of the River Foyle, as far as Bay Road Park. The proposed greenway will tie into the existing path network in the Bay Road Park.
