Dodder Valley Park in South Dublin has been upgraded with the opening of a new playspace.

The new facility at Old Bawn was officially opened at a ceremony last week. Mayor of South Dublin County Council, Cllr Emma Murphy visited the site on Thursday 25 May to declare the playspace open.

Speaking at the event, Mayor Emma Murphy said: "Play is recognised as a vital activity for healthy child development. Children also need time in nature for their physical and mental wellbeing. Integrating a playspace into this well used park has brought more life into it right throughout the day."
