The Construction Employers Federation has welcomed attendees to its 2023 AGM event at the recently transformed Templemore Baths in east Belfast.

CEF President Martin O'Kane, Vice Chairman of Heron Bros, was re-elected for the second year of his presidency with the additional Board members for 2023/24 being Bryan Vaughan (Vaughan Homes), Mark Kelly (Kelly Bros), John Tracey (Tracey Bros), Martin Lennon (OHMG) and Mark Spence (CEF).

In addition, and as part of the CEF's new Articles of Association that were passed at the 2022 AGM, the Board welcomed a second CEF Council member to it for the coming two years – Janet Deane of Deane Public Works.

This event took place at Templemore Baths, which undergone a £17 million restoration programme led by Heron Bros. The Baths, which are amongst the last working Victorian public baths on these islands and were first opened in the late nineteenth century, will be formally re-opened to the general public on Monday 19 June.

After the formal business of the AGM concluded, attendees toured around the facility led by John Paul Higgins, John Cullen and Diarmuid Mullan of Heron Bros. This reflected the scale of the works undertaken as part of the £17m scheme which not only recreated the original Baths but also saw the development of a museum, state-of-the-art gym, 25-metre swimming pool and spa facilities.
