Work to replace a 700 metre stretch of pipework along the N84, Headford Road, on the outskirts of Galway City has been completed.
The old pipework was decades old and susceptible to bursts so replacing it has alleviated the threat of outages. Uisce Éireann's Programme Manager Gerry O’Donnell is proud to have delivered such an important project for Galway City.
Following the completion of the works, it is necessary to reinstate the permanent road surface and these works will be programmed and carried out in due course by Uisce Éireann in partnership with Galway City Council.
