A new outdoor gym featuring a range of outdoor exercise equipment and calisthenics has opened in Celbridge Abbey Car Park.

The works have provided a range of equipment which includes, rower, cross trainer, leg press, dip bars and exercise bars which facilitates a range of exercise for all ages and abilities.

This new outdoor gym provides free access to regular physical activity as well as intending to promote social integration, accessibility and other benefits within the community space.

The project cost €50,000 and was funded by Local Property Tax provided by local Councillors and the Community Recognition Fund. Following consultations carried out over the last 18 months, the Council has planned to deliver more outdoor facilities in the near future.
