A street lighting LED upgrading scheme is due to commence in Kilkeel town centre.

The work will begin on 27 November and will be completed by mid-December 2023.

The scheme will include Greencastle Street, The Square, Bridge Street, Newcastle Street and Newry Street.

As existing lights are replaced with new LED street lights, Kilkeel will benefit from an improved night time environment.

In order to minimise public disruption, all works will be carried out during off peak times from Monday to Friday between 10.00pm to 6.00am.
