FP McCann held a bridge building workshop at Carryduff Primary School
The Big Bridge workshop took place with the P5 class at Carryduff Primary School, focused on bridges as part of KS2 and STEM. The pupils got involved with the discussion about bridge building and had the opportunity to ask plenty of questions.
During the workshop the children got to build a cable-stayed bridge and deck and attach cables under the supervision of FP McCann staff leaders including Rebecca Henderson, Conor McConville, Aaron Fleming, Joshua Howe and Gareth Robinson.
With the help of the leaders the children tackled and solved problems during the construction phase.
Once construction was completed, each pupil got to check the bridge twice by walking across, including Mr A Magee their teacher.
At the end of the workshop there was some budding engineers, who will hopefully be joining the construction industry in the future.
