County Down headquartered, GRAHAM, has presented an up-and-coming young civil engineer, Benjamin Hodgson, with an award for his outstanding performance.

The Harry McMullen award is presented to the most outstanding civil engineering student who is completing their industrial placement year with GRAHAM.

Studying MEng in Civil Engineering at University of Liverpool, Benjamin had the opportunity to contribute to the M25 junction 28 Improvements Scheme.

The annual award is in memory of respected colleague Harry McMullen, who was a positive influence and mentor to many young aspiring engineers, throughout his 40-year career with the company.

Leo Martin, Managing Director of Civil Engineering said: "Harry was a valued and respected colleague who was always willing to provide sound advice and guidance particularly to younger colleagues - Benjamin has demonstrated qualities that Harry would have admired.

Benjamin is passionate about Civil Engineering, ambitious and focused about his career. He has good technical knowledge with developed opinions and an enthusiasm for learning.
