Farrans has congratulated Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and Southwark Council on Rotherhithe Primary School being shortlisted for a RIBA London award.
The NI construction firm delivered the project on behalf of its client, Southwark Council.
A new 3,600-square-metre school building was built to replace Rotherhithe Primary School. It can accommodate up to 630 students and includes a 60-place nursery. The new school was constructed on the existing playgrounds of the active Rotherhithe Primary School.
This scheme is imagined as 'a school in a garden', conceptually extending and capturing the green space and openness of Southwark Park into the school site, creating a stimulating and protected outdoor environment for the children.
