Uisce Éireann is upgrading Turnapin's wastewater network to support growth in Santry and facilitate essential housing development.
The project, delivered as part of Uisce Éireann’s national Growth and Development Programme, will also improve the operational performance of the existing wastewater infrastructure, ensuring a more resilient service for the community.
Uisce Éireann's Padraig Hanly, said: "These upgrades are essential to enable future economic and social development of the Santry area. When complete, this project will increase the capacity of the wastewater network, bringing tangible benefits to the community and the environment in facilitating future demand and reducing the risk of sewer flooding in the area."
The project, starting later this month, involves installing over 380 metres of new sewerage pipes to enhance network capacity and performance. Conducted by GMC Utilities Group Ltd on behalf of Uisce Éireann, the work is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
