Lagan MEICA Participates In Northern Ireland's Net Zero Exchange

Lagan MEICA participated in the Northern Ireland Net Zero Exchange delegation to Malaysia and Singapore alongside a 40-member strong Invest NI trade delegation in March 2024.

The company travelled to Malaysia and Singapore to showcase their expertise, offerings and forge relationships with important local stakeholders. The objective was to facilitate connections and cultivate partnerships between Northern Ireland, Malaysia and Singapore in net zero technologies, with a specific emphasis on sustainable water management, decarbonisation, hydrogen and alternative fuels.

During the five-day visit, the group presented Northern Ireland's expertise in net zero technologies, engaged in knowledge sharing with local counterparts, and sought potential R&D collaborations, investment and trade prospects.

Lagan MEICA team members, Neil and Kieran visited the Petronas Leadership Centre and their Innovation and Research Centre to review progress on electrolyser development and enhance collaboration between the Northern Ireland industry and Queen's University. Queen's University is advising Petronas and conducting research projects in Belfast. Additionally, the team visited Greensun, another electrolyser manufacturer based in Singapore.
