Minister of State, Mr Kieran O'Donnell TD, has announced approval of Cork County Council's funding for Flood Mitigation and Coastal Protection at Finure-Guileen Cliff, County Cork.

This funding comes under the Office of Public Works’ Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme.

Under the scheme, the Office of Public Works (OPW) has approved €495,000 in funding for proposed works at Finure-Guileen Cliff. This funding will advance the project to the detailed design and construction stages, focusing on cliff stabilisation. The works will include filling with rock armour protection at the base of the cliff, along with related tasks.
