Stantec Opens New Belfast Office

Stantec, a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting, has officially opened its new office in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter, reinforcing its commitment to Northern Ireland.

Located at 25 Talbot Street, the modern space is designed to support up to 60 staff members and marks a key milestone in Stantec's expansion, driven by recent project wins and a growing demand for its sustainable services across the region.

The new Belfast office reflects Stantec's increasing presence in Northern Ireland’s water, community development, energy, and transportation sectors. With recent project awards from Northern Ireland Water (NIW), including the Major Projects Partnership Framework and the Professional Services Framework, Stantec is at the forefront of upgrading essential wastewater infrastructure, among other initiatives.

Mark Carlisle, Stantec's regional director for Ireland and Northern Ireland, highlighted the new office's role in attracting top talent and fostering collaboration. "Our new Talbot Street office gives us the perfect opportunity to support our clients while appealing to the next generation of designers, planners, environmental consultants, and engineers. It’s a space that embodies our commitment to impactful projects that enhance our communities."

Designed with workplace wellbeing and flexibility in mind, the Belfast office features a mix of focus areas and open spaces to support a hybrid work model. The Cathedral Quarter was chosen for its accessible location, proximity to public transport, and rich cultural setting.

Simon Dickson, Stantec's operations director and Belfast office lead, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion. "This really is a beautiful new space and reflects our aspirational outlook in Northern Ireland. We're looking forward to welcoming our partners and clients into the cultural heart of Belfast."

David Wright, Director at CBRE NI, who supported Stantec's move, praised the new location. "This modern workspace aligns with Stantec’s vision for collaboration and innovation, positioning them at the heart of Belfast’s dynamic business community. As demand for office space rises, it’s exciting to see Stantec establish a prominent base here."
