Essential repairs to burst water mains in County Kerry have successfully been completed, Uisce Éireann has announced.
The burst occurred at Lissanearla, Tralee, which may have impacted up to 500 customers in Abbeydorney, Kilflynn, Leith, Listowel Road, Tralee and the surrounding areas, causing water outages or reduced pressure.
Following repair works, it typically takes two to three hours for normal supply to fully be restored to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
As per best practice, most homes and businesses will have on-site water storage to provide a backup source of water for sanitation purposes.
