Works have successfully been completed to restore normal water supply in Cork City following a large burst to a water main.
The burst occurred on South Douglas Road, thus impacting properties on the Douglas Road, South Douglas Road and surrounding areas.
Crews from Uisce Éireann commenced work yesterday to rectify the issue, with water supply back operating as normal from this morning.
"We understand the inconvenience when a burst of this nature occurs," said Water Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann, James Goulding.
"We thank the community for their understanding at this time."
