A Part 8 public consultation has been launched for the development of a Design and Innovation Hub in County Limerick.
The hub, based at 35-39 Nicholas Street, will include the historic Fireplace site and will feature artist studios, workspaces, a retail area, exhibition space and a café/restaurant with an associated outdoor area adjoining St. Peter Street.
The Part 8 process is a public consultation procedure used by local authorities in Ireland for certain types of development projects, allowing the public to view and comment on the proposed plans before a final decision is made.
The Part 8 application is on public display until February 10 and submissions will be accepted until February 24.
All drawings and documents related to this new development are available for public viewing online and at Limerick City and County Council offices at Merchants Quay and Dooradoyle.
