South Dublin Park Officially Opens After €250,000 Upgrade

A South Dublin park has officially opened following a €250,000 upgrade.

Greentrees Park, which encompasses two green areas covering 13 acres in total, undergone a phased upgrade over the past six months thanks to joint efforts from South Dublin County Council and O'Brien Landscapes.

The improvements included a new footpath exercise loop, the planting of 100 mature trees, park benches, bulb planting and enhanced pedestrian entrances.

Speaking at the opening of the park, Mayor of South Dublin County Council, Cllr Baby Pereppadan, said: "I would like to extend my gratitude to the Public Realm Section of South Dublin County Council, who worked alongside O'Brien Landscapes for the work they have done to improve the park.

"A special thanks to the local community and elected members for their collaboration, support and input on this project."
