The annual Traditional Farm Buildings Grant Scheme has now opened for this year's applicants.
Managed by the Heritage Council and funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the grant offers support for the conservation and repair of traditional farm buildings, including roofs, walls, structural repairs and windows.
The grant also supports the repair of other traditional farming structures such as walls, gate pillars and gates, walled orchards, cobbled yards and masonry dungsteads. Grant amounts vary between €4,000 and €30,000.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 5pm on Monday, March 10.
Applications for farm buildings remain eligible, but applicants are not required to apply for a building.
