Plans for the construction of 567 new Dublin homes have officially been given the go-ahead.
Dublin City Council's Elected Members green-lit the Plan 8 housing applications which will be delivered across three council-owned sites as part of a National Public Private Partnership arrangement for new social homes.
The sites are based in Dublin 11 and Dublin 8, respectively, and include:
• Ballymun, Dublin 11; 288 homes, childcare facility, community, cultural and arts space and a public open space in a new plaza at St. Pappin's Square. These homes will consist of 138 no. one beds, 87 no. two beds, 61 no. three beds and 2 no. four beds.
• Forbes Lane, Dublin 8 – Road Maintenance Depot site; 108 homes, community, cultural and arts space and public realm space. This development will consist of two apartment blocks comprising 64 no. one beds, 31 no. two beds and 13 no. three beds.
• Basin View, Dublin 8; 171 homes, childcare facility and community, cultural and arts space. This project will deliver 3 apartment blocks comprising 83 no. one beds, 71 no. 2 beds, 13 no. three beds and 4 no. four beds.
