A staggered road closure is set to commence next month in County Monaghan to facilitate essential maintenance, renewal and safety measure works.
The N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Moy Otra (Clontibret N2 Junction) to the townland of Tullyvin (Castleblayney-N53 Roundabout), thus impacting the Municipal Districts of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney, Ballybay- Clones and Monaghan, will close on an overnight basis from 9pm-6am during the following dates:
• Monday, March 24 – Friday, April 4;
• Tuesday, May 6 – Friday, May 16;
• Monday, July 7 – Friday, July 18;
• Monday, September 1 – Friday, September 12.
Main diversion in place will be via Old N2 (LP3444) at Clontibret Village through Annayalla Village and Castleblayney Town, then accessing the N2 via the N53 and vice versa. Diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.
