Hagan Homes Begins Work On £50m Development In Lisburn

NI homebuilder Hagan Homes has officially begun work on its latest housing project, Ballantine Garden Village, located on the Hillhall Road in Lisburn.

The £50 million development will unfold in multiple phases, with the first phase, representing a £9 million investment, set to deliver 28 high-quality homes. Completion of this phase is expected by early July 2026.

The overall project will span six phases over four years, ultimately creating 138 new homes. The development will feature a wide range of energy-efficient homes, including two-bedroom apartments, three and four-bedroom semi-detached homes, and four and five-bedroom detached homes. The homes will be priced between £200k and £550k, offering options for a variety of buyers seeking modern, sustainable living in a prime location.

Ballantine Garden Village is Hagan Homes' second major development in Lisburn, following the success of Thaxton Village. The project highlights the company's commitment to providing high-quality homes in sought-after areas. Working in partnership with DB Contracts, Hagan Homes will also create 58 new jobs during the construction phase.

Jim Burke, Managing Director of Hagan Homes, said: "We are thrilled to embark on the first phase of Ballantine Garden Village, marking the beginning of a landmark £50 million investment in Lisburn’s residential landscape. These EPC A-rated homes have been designed with sustainability at their core, providing modern living spaces that are not only energy-efficient but also help reduce energy bills for our homeowners.

"With the inclusion of roof-integrated solar panels, we are offering buyers a significant opportunity to lower their energy costs while reducing their carbon footprint. This development represents our ongoing dedication to building high-quality homes that people are proud to live in."

The development will also feature advanced sustainability measures, including thermally efficient insulation, energy-saving windows and doors, and cutting-edge heating technologies.

The showhome for Ballantine Garden Village is expected to open in September 2025, with the first homeowners set to move in from October 2025.
