Uisce Éireann is conducting essential maintenance as part of a €10 million upgrade to the Glenary Water Treatment Plant in Clonmel, County Tipperary.
The works, scheduled for today, April 10, from 1pm to 4pm, involve critical water mains repairs. Consequently, residents and businesses in Kilmacomma, Irish Town, Western Road, Cherrymount, Elm Park, Haywood Road, Roaring Springs, Cascade Road, Old Bridge, Old Dungarvan Road and surrounding areas may experience reduced water pressure or temporary supply interruptions during this period.
John Hickey, Programme Manager at Uisce Éireann, said: "Every effort will be made to reduce the impact of these works on homes and businesses in the area. The upgrade to Glenary Water Treatment Plant will help protect the reliability of the supply to the local community into the future. We understand the impact low pressure and supply disruption can have on customers and would like to thank the local community for their patience and cooperation during the works.”"
Following the completion of repairs, normal water supply is expected to resume within three to four hours as the network refills. However, customers located on higher ground or at the extremities of the network may experience longer restoration times.
