Ten-Week Road Closure For Cavan Resurfacing Works

A ten-week road closure has been scheduled to facilitate resurfacing works in County Cavan.

The N87 from the Border with Northern Ireland (North of Swanlinbar) in the townland of Cloghoge, to its junction with the L-5041-0 in the townland of Moher, will close from Monday, May 12, to Friday, September 19, between the hours of 9.15am and 6pm.

Alternative route (via Northern Ireland) include:

• Southbound: Travel east along the B-108 from its junction with the A-32 to its junction with the A-509. Travel south-east on the A-509 to its junction with the B-127. Travel south-west along the B-127 crossing the Northern Ireland border and continue on the R-205 to its junction with the N87 in Ballyconnell. End of detour.

• Northbound: The same detour route in reverse will apply to northbound traffic travelling on the N87.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works and only local access will be accommodated.
