Public Consultation Launches For Hillcrest Improvement Scheme

A public consultation has been launched for the proposed Hillcrest Road Improvement Scheme in Sandyford, Dublin 18.

The Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council scheme includes the upgrade of the Hillcrest Road from Lambs Cross junction to Kilgobbin Road junction (approximately 660m) to include facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, as follows:

• Widening of the existing road, including footpaths and cycle tracks on both sides.

• Walls, retaining walls, fencing and other boundary treatments.

• Accommodation works to existing properties.

• Diversion of existing utilities and provision of new utilities/services.

• Public lighting.

• Associated landscaping works.

Plans and particulars of the proposals are currently available for inspection until Friday, June 6, at:

Planning Department, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, between 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays;

Council Offices, Dundrum Office Park, Dundrum, between 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays; or

On DLR Consultation Hub at Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council - Citizen Space or via the council's website homepage.

Public submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, and dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made by emailing [email protected] or online on or before 5pm on Friday, June 20.

This can also be done in writing to Senior Engineer, Capital Projects Office, Infrastructure and Climate Change Department, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, A96 K6C9 and clearly marked 'Proposed Development: Hillcrest Road Improvement Scheme'.
