County Galway-based Monami Construction is currently celebrating success at this year's Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards following its win in the Fitout or Refurbishment Over €5m category.

Monami claimed the honours for its Technological University of the Shannon – Coonagh Cross Campus Fit Out project, which had multiple stand-out features that ultimately helped secure the award.

A previous statement from Monami explained: "The remarkable entrance with its makerspace features, the modern user-friendly offices and lecture theatres, and ultra-functional precision engineering & electrical engineering workshops and laboratories, an integrated HGV & LGV garage facility, lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, IT labs, catering facilities, student services centre, smarter travel facilities and general accommodation facilities and amenities are all evidence of an exceptional quality college campus."

Noting the success of the project, a recent statement added: "This achievement is a testament to the incredible teamwork, dedication, and collaboration across our site and office teams, whose efforts made this a reality.
