One of Ireland's leading renewable energy providers, MarVal Power, has successfully completed a major solar energy project for TINE Ireland Ltd, the Irish division of Norwegian dairy giant TINE, at their commercial premises in Mogeely, County Cork.
The project will reduce the company's carbon footprint by over 4,344 tons across the next two decades.
Chosen for their engineering expertise and EU-preferred sourcing policy, MarVal Power delivered a fully customised solar PV system designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing electrical infrastructure at Tine's high-volume processing site.
Key project highlights include:
• Energy output: The installation is expected to self-generate approximately 650MWh of clean energy annually—about 10% of Tine's energy needs—saving over 215 tons of CO₂ emissions each year.
• Long-term impact: Over 20 years, the system will produce approximately 12,500MWh and offset 4,344 tons of carbon—equivalent to 2,150 trees or 370 roundtrips from Cork to Oslo annually.
• Zero-disruption installation: MarVal Power assumed PSCS responsibilities and completed the installation safely with zero incidents, despite the challenges of a busy logistics environment and complex structural requirements.
