Galway Road Closures Scheduled For Water Infrastructure Upgrades

Upcoming road closures have been announced to facilitate the urgent upgrade of water infrastructure in Galway city.

From Monday, May 19, to Wednesday, May 21, the junction of Bowling Green / Market Street to the junction of Bowling Green/ Abbeygate Street Upper will close. A diversion route will be in place via Market Street and Abbeygate Street Upper.

Following this, a further closure has been scheduled from The Crescent / Palmyra Park junction to the Raleigh Row / Palmyra Park junction, beginning Tuesday, June 3, and ending Friday, June 27. Diversion routes will be available via The Crescent, St Mary's Road and Palmyra Avenue.
