Northern Ireland construction firm Farrans has marked Mental Health Awareness Week with a series of company events.
As well as a range of new resources available company-wide, Farrans will also have informative 'lunch and learn' sessions scheduled as well as tool box talks.
Some of the events taking place at Farrans' sites and offices throughout Mental Health Awareness Week (May 12 -18) include:
• At Uisce Éireann, Farrans' Monaghan office is hosting a coffee and chat morning;
• At Belfast Grand Central Station, the Farrans team is taking part in a breakfast, games and activities day;
• The Farrans head office in Dunmurry is hosting a coffee morning and raffle event on Friday;
• Farrans' team on NI Water is holding a Spike Ball tournament and lunch;
• Griffiths Farrans JV hosting a Healthy Breakfast event at Bristol Airport;
• Farrans project team in Sonning Common held a team workshop and lunch;
• At Project Pipeline: County Durham and Tees Valley there is a badminton match and BBQ;
• In Farrans' Scotland region, events include a fishing night, team BBQ and a workshop by the Lighthouse Club.
Each event encourages Farrans workers to reach out, share stories and listen with empathy to those around them.
Farrans is committed to giving mental health the same level of importance as physical health and that means that the company has trained mental health first aiders on almost all of its sites, access to counselling whenever it is needed, GP anytime and industry leading courses such as Have the Conversation which provide teams with the skills to manage mental health conversations with colleagues and peers.
