Operational crews from Uisce Éireann have returned a secure water supply to the Headford Road area of Galway city following successful repair works on a burst main.
The burst, which occurred yesterday (May 15), had caused some supply disruptions for approximately 200 homes and businesses in areas including Dun na Coiribe, Gort na Coiribe and the Terryland Retail Park.
The repairs were completed at approximately 3.30pm with the system recharging in the following hours.
Leo O'Shea of Uisce Éireann thanked affected customers for their cooperation while repairs were underway.
Leo said: "Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by unplanned outages and thanks customers for their patience and cooperation while these works were carried out."
