CEO of Dublin-headquartered Collen Construction, Kara Stuart, has received an Honorary Fellowship from the Institution of Engineers of Ireland (Engineers Ireland) following unanimous endorsement from its council.
President of Engineers Ireland, Laura Burke, presented the prestigious accolade to Kara, who now joins an illustrious group of Honorary Fellows that includes former Presidents of Ireland, distinguished academics, industry leaders, and notable public figures who have shaped Ireland's development.
Founded in 1835, Engineers Ireland reserves its Honorary Fellowship, the highest honour after the Presidency, for only a select few outstanding individuals each year. This distinction celebrates those who have made profound contributions to engineering, science, or other vocations with significant societal impact.
The Council of Engineers Ireland recognised that Kara's work "has made a profound and positive societal impact, which our Institution wishes to justly celebrate through the conferral of Honorary Fellowship."
Discussing the accolade, a statement from Collen Construction said: "This recognition reflects not only Kara's exceptional leadership at Collen but also her broader contributions to our industry.
"We are incredibly proud of her achievements and the recognition of her impactful work by such a prestigious institution."
