The refurbishment of a multi-use games area and mini pitch in County Antrim has successfully been completed.
Delivered by Tony Patterson Sports Grounds, the Sunnylands mini pitch project in Carrickfergus features a high-quality 3G playing surface suitable for three-a-side football, while the multi-use games area in Greenisland includes a 3G surface for basketball and football.
The upgraded facilities provide a safe and inclusive outdoor space for a wide range of sporting activities, offering health benefits for the entire community to enjoy.
Discussing the projects, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Alderman, William McCaughey, said: "I'm thrilled to see these fantastic new facilities open to the public. They are a valuable addition to the Carrickfergus and Greenisland communities.
He added: "The council remains dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of our children and young people, and we hope these spaces encourage them to stay active and reap the many rewards of physical activity."
