Major Water Main Burst Repaired In Galway City

Essential repair works have been made to a major burst on a water main at College Road in Galway City, Uisce Éireann has announced.

Crews from the utility company worked overnight to fix the burst, which impacted College Road, Wellpark Retail Park, Dublin Road, Lough Atalia Road, Glenina Heights, Fairgreen, Forster Street and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann's Leo O’Shea said: "Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by interruptions to water supply and we thank the affected customers for their patience and cooperation while we delivered these essential repair works."
