MMD Construction Prepares For Hell & Back Challenge

Cork-based MMD Construction was recently joined by members from the Lighthouse Charity ahead of this year's Hell & Back challenge.

Lighthouse Charity representatives, Fergus Farrell and Andy Bishop, visited several of MMD's sites and used the opportunity to connect directly with teams on the ground as well as remind workers of the mental health and wellbeing supports available to everyone in the construction industry.

The Lighthouse Charity provides free, 24/7 support to construction workers and their families across Ireland and the UK, covering everything from mental health and emotional support to financial and legal advice.

Fergus and Andy's visit was carried out in front of the Hell & Back challenge, which will take place on June 7, when members of the MMD team will put themselves to the test in one of Ireland's toughest physical events, all in the name of team spirit and wellbeing.

A statement from MMD Construction explained: "Hell & Back is more than just a physical challenge. It is about resilience, camaraderie, and pushing ourselves while knowing we have each other's backs, on and off the course. That is why the work of the Lighthouse Charity is so aligned with what we are trying to foster at MMD: a culture where mental and physical wellbeing are equally prioritised.

"As part of our commitment, we are proud to collect donations for the Lighthouse Charity, and we welcome anyone who would like to support this incredible cause to join us.

"Every contribution, big or small, helps provide support to Construction workers and their families across the industry."

MMD added: "To Fergus, Andy, and the Lighthouse team, thank you for your time, your energy, and for everything you do to support the industry."
