GMC Utilities Group Ltd will commence network improvement works on behalf of Uisce Éireann next week in Bray, County Wicklow.

The works, which are expected to be complete by August, will take place on Raheen Park and Newcourt Avenue and involve the replacement of nearly 500 metres of aged cast iron watermains as part of Uisce Éireann's National Leakage Reduction Programme.

Discussing the project, Nicola Butler, Programme Manager with Uisce Éireann, said: "Replacing these old and damaged pipes will eliminate existing leaks and reduce the amount of clean water lost into the ground. The works will also improve the operation of the network by reducing the need for frequent repairs to aged watermains. In advance of the works commencing, we would like to thank the local community for their support and patience as we carry out these essential works."

Lane closures will be in place at Raheen Park to safely and efficiently deliver this project. Short term localised road closures may also be required, and residents will be notified in advance of any closure.
