County Cork-based MMD Construction recently marked Men's Health Week with a series of coffee mornings and sweet treats.
Coinciding with its fundraiser for The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, the events acted to "spark connection, lift spirits, and encourage us all to pause, reflect, and check in, with ourselves and with each other," according to a statement from the company.
"While we rightly focus on healthy eating, physical fitness, and productivity, we also recognise the importance of balance. A simple coffee break or an unexpected treat on a sunny day can do more than boost morale, it can create space for conversation," it added.
Additionally, MMD have more initiatives planned for the future. The statement explained: "Our focus on wellbeing doesn't stop with Men's Health Week. We are proud to be rolling out free medical health checks and winter flu vaccines again this year as part of our continued commitment to keeping our teams healthy, informed, and supported.
"We are also continuing our work with The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, who offer vital mental health and wellbeing support tailored to those working in our industry. As we look ahead, we will be building on this partnership to raise awareness, provide resources, and ensure our people know that support is always within reach, whether on site or off."
MMD thanked its staff teams from across its offices and sites who helped organise and support the meaningful initiatives.
