Northern Ireland-headquartered GRAHAM has announced the successful completion and handover of iQ Cullen House, a landmark purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development on Bath Street in Glasgow city centre.
The complex has now been acquired by and handed over to iQ Student Accommodation, a prominent provider in the sector, who will operate and manage the facilities.
The impressive 12-storey building offers 551 much-needed, high-quality units for students, with the first residents expected to begin moving in ahead of the upcoming summer term.
Designed with the evolving needs of students in mind, iQ Cullen House boasts a comprehensive range of modern amenities. These include a fully equipped gym, a gaming arcade, various dining spaces (communal kitchens and private dining areas), rooftop terraces, and expansive social areas tailored for both collaboration and relaxation.
Strategically located adjacent to iQ's existing Elgin Place property, the new Bath Street development provides residents with immediate access to Glasgow's renowned academic institutions, such as Glasgow School of Art, the University of Strathclyde, and the University of Glasgow, alongside cultural attractions and key transportation links.
The completion of Cullen House underscores GRAHAM's proven expertise in delivering large-scale residential projects and its ongoing commitment to enhancing Glasgow's urban infrastructure.
Gary Holmes, Regional Managing Director at GRAHAM Building North, said: "The completion and handover of Cullen House marks an important step in delivering high-quality student accommodation in Glasgow. The modern facility helps meet the increasing demand for purpose-built student housing across the city, while also bringing a key city centre site back into use in a positive way."
Mr Holmes added: "This project reflects GRAHAM's ability to deliver complex and demanding projects that align with the needs of our clients and the communities they serve. Its successful delivery is the result of close collaboration with the wider project team throughout the process."
Matt Loughlin, Chief Development Officer at iQ, expressed enthusiasm for the new addition to their portfolio: "We are thrilled to officially open iQ Cullen House, a vibrant new addition to our Glasgow portfolio that reflects our commitment to creating exceptional living experiences for students and meet the huge demand for accommodation in the city. This development not only provides high-quality accommodation but also fosters a strong sense of community and well-being through its thoughtfully designed amenities. We look forward to welcoming students to their new home in September. Thank you to everyone involved in the project and getting us to completion."
