Following consultations between the Health Service Executive and Uisce Éireann, the Do Not Consume Notice on the Three Mile House and Togan Public Water Supply in County Monaghan has been lifted with immediate effect.
Works completed by drinking water experts from Uisce Éireann helped lift the notice for impacted customers as quickly and as safely as possible.
The notice was previously issued on Thursday, July 10, to protect the health of approximately 300 customers following the detection of elevated levels of manganese in the supply.
Uisce Éireann's Peter Gallagher acknowledged the impact of the notice on the community: "Uisce Éireann regrets the inconvenience that the Do Not Consume Notice caused. I would like to thank affected customers for their patience and support while our drinking water experts worked to lift it as quickly as it was safe to do so."
