Design And Construction Complete At Dexcom Athenry WwTP

Commissioning has now been completed on the new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WwTP) at Dexcom's European manufacturing facility in Athenry, County Galway.

As the main contractor, Coffey was responsible for the full design and construction of the plant. The system includes an energy-efficient Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) and was delivered within a seven-month programme. Phase 1 is now operational and handling initial wastewater treatment, with Phase 2 planned for future expansion.

Scope of works included the construction of inlet works, treatment tanks, mechanical and electrical installations, and final finishing works.
