Irwin M&E has officially opened its new, energy-efficient headquarters in Portadown. The £2 million investment showcases the company's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and collaboration by transforming a vacant Lidl supermarket into a modern hub for over 300 colleagues.

The Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge, and Craigavon, Stephen Moutray, carried out the opening ceremony, cutting the ribbon and taking a full tour of the 20,000 sq ft site.

The new headquarters has been retrofitted with a range of sustainable technologies, including air source heat pump technology, solar PV power generation, smart occupancy and daylight sensors, and automated lighting systems.

These upgrades are expected to reduce emissions by around 80%, while also creating a bright and collaborative environment. Irwin M&E stated that the project proves that retrofitting older buildings with renewable technologies can deliver "real results" and that it is eager to use the space to "connect, collaborate, and inspire clients across the UK and Ireland."
