Henry Brothers are leading the construction of a new Vehicle Test Centre in Mallusk, County Antrim, with Design ID providing civil engineering expertise to help bring the project to life.

As lead civil engineers, Design ID are responsible for site levels, earthworks, hardstanding and drainage design. The team has placed a strong focus on practical, cost-effective and sustainable solutions throughout the design process.

A key innovation has been the use of the subbase for surface water storage, which removes the need for plastic attenuation crates. This approach not only reduces construction costs but also minimises the environmental impact, aligning with sustainable engineering practices.
