SSE Renewables, in partnership with BnM, is presenting construction plans for the proposed Littleton Wind Farm in County Tipperary.
The onshore project will feature 11 turbines on Littleton Bog, situated between Littleton, Gortnahoo, and New Birmingham, and will include a new 110kV on-site substation to connect to the national grid.
Local residents are invited to a Public Information Evening on Wednesday, October 8, from 5pm to 8.30pm at Moycarkey Borris Community & Sport Centre, Ballybeg, Littleton.
The event will display the final turbine layout, associated infrastructure, and a draft amenity plan outlining new walking and cycling routes using the proposed access roads. Members of the project team will be on hand to provide technical information on construction, design and site logistics. The updated project design has also been informed by extensive environmental studies conducted by the developers.
Laura Burke, Littleton Wind Farm project manager at SSE Renewables, said: "The information event is an important opportunity for anyone who has questions about the project to be able to meet with our project team, and we are looking forward to meeting members of the community to be able to discuss our proposals in further detail."
Karina Dennigan, BnM Community Relations and Advocacy Manager, added: "We're encouraging everyone in the community to come along and view the final layout for the proposed wind farm before the planning application is lodged in the coming months. This is an important opportunity to see the updated design and engage with the project team before the next stage of the process. We value local input and want to ensure that residents are fully informed about the proposal."
