Cork County Council has launched the second stage of the construction tender process for the Mallow Town Hall Theatre project.
Contractors who were shortlisted in Stage 1 are now invited to submit their tenders for the delivery of the works.
The tender return date is October 254. Following submission, tenders will be assessed before the successful contractor is appointed. Subject to a successful tender outcome, construction is expected to begin in late February 2026, with the project scheduled for completion over a 15 to 18-month period.
The scheme involves the repurposing of the historic Mallow Town Hall building into a theatre and multi-use arts centre. Co-funded by the Government of Ireland, the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern and Midland Regional Programme 2021–2027, and Cork County Council, the project will revitalise Mallow’s town centre and provide a cultural hub for the local community.
